Inspired by abstracted figuration and surrealism, Philomene takes you through her art into her own world of absurdism with a touch of humor leaving enough room for the viewer to unlock his or her own imagination to have their own take on figure discovery and hidden humor. Her art starts with spots and shadows, which forces her to free herself from fixed ideas during the making process and to be guided by her fantasy. Philomene Gans is a self-taught Dutch artist in paintings and illustrations, works with ink, pen and acrylic on canvas and paper.
